For many years, the BDS team has been training Police officers in the field of violence prevention and restrain and control techniques.
Sri Lanka has now taken this concept a step further and implemented the BDS Tactial program into their educational syllabus at the Colombo Police Academy.
National director Sifu Premil Naveendra and his assistant Kennath Wanniarchchi teach the officers deescalatory ways to calm down an aggressor and effective control techniques, should the deescalation attempts have failed.
